I had to go check if what I remembered of him was right. Turns out I was, since his highly aggressive response was very much like I remembered. Almost Kotaku-level combativeness and a besserwisser attitude to rival my own. He also can't shut up about how much better new cars are than old ones.

I believe he and I were meant to have a flame war to the last man just before the world ends.

Oh I will from now on, since I've already established that trying to convince him that there is more to life than new engines and that old ones aren't absolute shit is a hopeless endeavor. I had a loooooong comment chain with him like a year ago or something about something like that. As soon as he realized I wasn't actually talking shit about his beloved LS engine (or, *gasp!* , LT1) but just trying to open up his narrow mind a bit he pretty much went into You Are A Fucking Moron Mode, or at least so I recall.
